Urban Pooch’s Foundation champions mental health as a fundamental right, actively engaging in ongoing initiatives. Below are the initiatives we currently have on the go.
Mind Wellness Society Social
Social engagement when struggling with mental illness offers crucial emotional support, reduces stigma, and provides an opportunity of sharing coping strategies. Positive interactions boost self-esteem, provide distraction, and contribute to overall well-being, fostering a sense of normalcy. Additionally, it is a great overall support system for those who may not have people in their life that fully understand what they are going through.
Mind Wellness Society is a unity of men and women who share their experiences, strength and hope with each other so that they may improve their common struggle and help others recover from mental illness.
Urban Pooch’s Foundation is proud to host the weekly Mind Wellness Society social. This social is meant for those who are struggling with mental illness and are looking for an opportunity to be social in an anonymous, judgement free environment with like minded individuals.

Canadian Workplace Harassment Law
Passive-aggressive behavior in the workplace is a subtle yet pervasive challenge that can hinder productivity and team cohesion. Passive-aggressive behavior in the workplace also significantly impacts mental health. Constant exposure to indirect hostility and resistance may lead to stress, anxiety, and reduced job satisfaction. Individuals experiencing passive-aggressive behavior may struggle with trust issues and emotional well-being, affecting overall mental health. Recognizing and addressing these indirect expressions of hostility or resistance is crucial for maintaining a healthy work environment and emotional well-being.
Harassment law in Canada currently does not address this type of harassment experienced in the workplace.
Urban Pooch’s Foundation is dedicated to creating a bill to put forward to parliament to have Canadian harassment law updated to include harassment in the form of passive aggressive behaviour.
If you have experienced passive aggressive harassment in the workplace, we want to hear from you. Click the button below to join our initiative. We will then reply with details on what we need from you to help.
